I was so busy in April and May that I forgot to buy my copy of Garage Magazine’s April/May 2009 issue. And what do I find out? Hot male model Hideo Muraoka is on the cover of that issue! I have always been a big fan of Garage (loved the Akihiro Sato and Gerald Anderson-Enchong Dee issues!) I scoured the whole of the metro and was quite unsuccessful in my search (so please, if you know where copies are available, please do let me know!).

It was a double celebration for UNO Magazine last March 21, as they welcomed their new editor-in-chief RJ Ledesma and partied with March cover girl Karen Pamintuan.
Co-presented by Music and Wine, wine expert Ines Cabarrus concocted special drinks for UNO Magazine guests to enjoy. Too favorites were Numero UNO (a mix of vodka, lychee and watermelon), Editor-in-Chief (cognac, bitters, ginger ale for the men) and Karen’s Kiss (vodka, peach and melon), and UNO-Politan (your regular cosmo of gin, lime and cranberry with the UNO Twist).

I love men’s magazines. No, not the kind that has photos of men in various states of undress. I’m talking about fashion magazines for men like Metro Him and Garage.
Garage, on the other hand, is still alive and kicking! And I love it! Garage is presented well and it makes fashion for men easier to understand and to relate with. It is not plastic and while it gives us the latest trends from other parts of the world, it also makes appreciating fashion easier: fashion need not be expensive. What I love about Garage is that it shows us all the expensive and all the affordable brands all on the same page.
