Resorts World Manila: Asia’s Newest Playground
Resorts World at Manila, a flagship integrated entertainment project of Travellers International Hotel Group, Inc., is a joint venture between two of the region’s most dynamic companies, Philippine conglomerate Alliance Global Group, Inc. (AGI) and Star Cruises Ltd.. The complex will be the first of its kind in the Philippines and will include the country’s largest casino, an iconic mall and three hotels: a 342-room Marriott Hotel; Maxims Hotel, the country’s first all-suites hotel with 172 rooms; and another hotel to be announced.

The centerpiece of the development will be the casino. At 30,000 square meters, it is the largest in the Philippines and also the first ever to be licensed out by the Philippine Gaming and Amusement Corporation (PAGCOR) to a private entity. The casino will have more than 1,000 slot machines and more than 300 tables. It will include public and VIP gaming areas, junket rooms, a host of restaurants and bars, a business center, a spa and villas. The casino is one of the elements of the resort that will bring additional traffic to the mall, an ambitious development with four floors boasting a distinct tenant mix.
The mall includes four high-end cinemas with a total of 1,200 seats and a multipurpose 1,030-seat performing arts theater. The ground floor of the development will be devoted to some 22 world-renowned brands ranging from haute couture and fashion accessories to jewelry and watches. The second floor will offer an extensive range of local and international dining options encircling an air-conditioned indoor piazza with a glass skyline.
The third floor will host specialty boutiques. Serving as the lobby of the performing arts theater, it will also connect to the private, highroller section of the casino. The fourth floor, meanwhile, will be focused on
entertainment for the young with its cinemas, amusement facilities and cafés.
The hotels complete the picture. The Marriott Hotel will be the first Marriott development in Metro Manila, while the Php3.8 billion ($80.7 million) Maxims Hotel, the first luxury casino hotel in the Philippines, will be built on a one-hectare lot next to a lagoon.
A luxury lodging brand of the Genting Group, Maxims Hotel is the first Deluxe Casino Hotel in the country. Maxims has a total of 172 all-suite rooms, each assigned with personal butler services and furnished with state-of-the-art facilities. There are three Royal Villas each spanning 535-548 square meters in area, each with their own individual pool, patio, garden, massage room, kitchen and dining room.
The Presidential Suite (652 square meters in area) features top-of-the-line facilities and amenities, with 2 spacious bedrooms, individual bathrooms, master bathroom with Jacuzzi, massage room, audio-visual room, living area, kitchen/bar, dining room, and a private swimming pool with 2 pavilions and garden.
